Day 2 – March 14 – 2016

Beaumont-Hamel Flight

Today we got to go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. I tried astronaut dried ice cream and strawberries for the first time. I also got to try a Black Hawk flight simulator. We went to the Arlington Cemetery and saw the famous Guard Change Ceremony. We also got to see the Kennedy family grave and the Unknown Soldier Tomb. Now we will eat dinner and after that we will go to the Pentagon Fashion Mall. I can’t wait to see what comes next this week.

Today we got to go to the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum. I finally got to realize my dream of being a stunt pilot via simulator, and I managed to achieve the rank of ace. Me and a couple of friends also celebrated FCpl Gibson’s birthday by eating freeze dried ice cream. Earlier in the morning, we went to pay our respects at the Arlington Cemetery and managed to see the renowned Changing of the Guard Ceremony. Later, we saw the Kenedy family memorial, and the Unknown Soldier Tomb. At the moment we are eating at Mcdonald’s before heading to the Pentagon Fashion Mall. So exited to see what happens next.

aToday we went to the Smithsonian aerospace museum. I enjoyed seeing all of the unique aircraft, such as the SR-72 Blackbird and the F-35B Lightning 2. The museum also had many exciting aircraft, ones that cannot be found anywhere else in the world. I also liked Arlington National Cemetery. My favourite part was the Changing of the Guard ceremony, which was very interesting because it was like nothing I have ever seen before. I have seen the changing of the guard in other places but nothing could compare to this change, I found it more exciting than other ones that I have seen on T.V. Most of all, I cannot wait to see what is coming in these next few days.
