Day 1 – Ottawa
120 of Canada’s heroes begin to gather in preparation for their journey back to Europe. This time, it is a peaceful invasion, remembering their comrades left behind, returning to the land that consumed their youth.
Some of these combatants were part of the return to Normandy in 2014 – it is wonderful to see them – and many others are new to this commemoration programme run by Veterans Affairs Canada.
This promises to be a memorable event for all!
