We left RAF Northholt at 0400 GMT and headed to Gatwick airport. It was a smooth flight home and our 2 squadrons parted ways at Pearson. There were many hugs and tears for both staff and cadets.
The 142 cadets were met at the airport by their families, and the 102 folks took the bus to the Barrie Armouries to meet their families as well as a CTV news crew:

Today we left for home – sad to say goodbye to England, but I am really looking forward to getting home to see my family.
I had so many great times in London and made so many memories. I am extremely grateful to be part of this trip.

I would like to thank a few people who worked in the background, but were not on this trip.
My daughter, CI Michelle Valentine was responsible for creating this website and making it easy for us to update while in the field.
My wife Bernadette spent quite a few hours filling in all of the Customs Landing Cards for both the UK and Canada, saving us much pain while aboard the aircraft.
My personal thanks goes out to Major Scott and all of his staff – you are an amazing crew and we worked together as if we had been doing this for years.
